Quarr Boundary Oaks

E-mail Print PDF

Oaks of Ages
Stand you strong - soaring above
Rooted from
The cauldron of the Earth.

As children you saw
The Tudor dynasty - at birth;
As youngsters, the walls of Old Quarr
You saw fall;
The Abbey chant
Replaced by Drake's cannon
As the Armada set  sail;
In middle age you heard
The steam train
Replacing the horse-and-cart refrain;
And in old age you see
Planes soaring above.

No change yet, however, yet
In your heart
And in your love.

Blessed Be.
